BIO
ASHERAH is the electronic pop alias of Boston-based singer, songwriter, producer, and composer, Ariel Morer. Produced in collaboration with experimental electronic musician Medulasa, ASHERAH’s debut EP, Ephemeral, chronicles the grief process through shimmering sound design, atmospheric vocals, and intimate lyricism.
Prior to rebranding as ASHERAH, Morer began working with Grammy producer David Ruttenberg in her teens and saw international success when she was featured on Klaas's "Lift Me Up" (2016), via Universal France and Warner Music Germany, making its way onto two of Apple Music Germany's #1 Dance albums. Her involvement in the Miami electro pop scene paved the way to performances at festivals like III Points, performing on lineups with renowned artists such as SOPHIE, M83, Oneohtrix Point Never, Flying Lotus, Denzel Curry, Machinedrum, and Flight Facilities and led to her supporting acts like The Radio Dept. Drawing inspiration from the otherworldly, the futuristic, and her personal emotional exploration, ASHERAH's work resides in the realm between conscious reality and subconscious dreams.
Apart from her work as a performing artist, Morer has participated in songwriting camps for artists like Kimbra, had work featured in short films, has written and curated for Tongue Tied Music Magazine, and is a Berklee College of Music World Tour scholarship recipient pursuing her BM at their Boston and Valencia, Spain campuses.
“ASHERAH’s new EP is an impressive debut that is well worth a listen from start to finish”
“Rich, layered production and ASHERAH’s diaphanous vocals contrast with the gut-wrenching lyrics, as ASHERAH composes an elegy to her lost friend.”
“ASHERAH's Debut Single Is A 'Holy' Masterpiece”
